Whose opinions are you listening to?

People have opinions, lots of opinions, right? And unfortunately, we launch them off into the world so easily and quickly, and frequently. And we can become diverted and swayed and so impacted by what other people think.

There is only one opinion that should matter to each of us. And sometimes we just need to be quiet to hear it—the whisper of the Spirit of Truth, giving us hope, reminding us that we are loved.

Proverbs 29 reminds us that the fear of human opinion disables, but trusting in God protects us from that.

Whose opinions are you listening to? It's not easy to quiet the noise around us. But maybe today, we should each turn something off and listen to the words of a Father who loves us.

“There is only one opinion that should matter to each of us.”

Proverbs 29:25

Fearing people is a dangerous trap,
but trusting the Lord means safety.
