Serve the One Who Loves You
What if you lost your job? What if you had to move across the country unexpectedly?
We all worry about these “what ifs.” We all have our own—stressful things that we worry about, and we want to avoid.
We trick ourselves into believing that if we have enough money, nothing bad could ever happen. But you know what? It’s not true. Troubles come to us all—no exceptions.
What’s worse—becoming enslaved to money doesn’t make the fear go away anyhow.
Jesus said, “If you cling to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what good is it to gain the whole world but forfeit your very self?”
Don’t lose yourself in a vain attempt to avoid misfortune.
Give your life to Jesus. Serve the one who loves you, and you’ll gain real riches—the promise of eternal life—the presence of God Himself. He will be with you no matter what.
