Losing Control

Recent circumstances in our world have left many of us feeling so out of control.

There is an amazing account in the Bible of Jesus in a boat on a lake with His friends. In the soothing motion of the boat, Jesus, a man at peace, fell asleep.

As He slept a massive storm arose. The men were helpless in the face of the winds and the waves.  They frantically woke Jesus crying out, “Lord, wake up! We are going to die.”

Jesus awoke and with one word, He calmed the storm. Then He looked at His friends and asked, “Where is your faith?”

Sometimes, when trouble comes into our lives, Jesus will quickly calm the storm. Other times He rides out the storm with us, but there’s one thing you can be sure of – He will never get out of the boat.

Always remember, there’s hope with God.

Psalm 18:2

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
