Where is God?

One of the first things we ask when trouble comes is, “Where is God?”

God – powerful, strong, able – why hasn’t He protected me from this trouble? Sometimes the trouble is a devastating tragedy that floors us, shocks us, and we wonder – how can this be my story? Trouble has walked through my door, taken a seat at the table and doesn’t seem to want to leave.

Where is God?

He says these words to us: “I will be with you in trouble.” That means beside, among, together, within.

Where is God?

He says, “I’m knocking at your door. Open the door and I will come in and eat with you.” God says, “I am stronger than your trouble, bigger than your trouble, and my presence will carry you.”

Always remember, there is hope with God

“God says, ‘I am stronger than your trouble, bigger than your trouble, and my presence will carry you.’”

Psalm 138:7

“Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me.”
