The Healer

Have you ever been hurt by someone who claimed to be religious? It’s a pain that many have experienced, and it can leave a deep wound.

As Jesus was praying with his disciples in the garden of Gethsemane the night before he would be crucified, a group of men came to arrest Jesus.

One of His disciples, trying to defend Him, pulled out a sword and cut off the ear of one of the men.

What do you think Jesus did? He actually reprimanded His own follower, right there in front of everyone. And then, in an amazing act of compassion, He healed the man’s ear before allowing Himself to be taken away.

If you’ve been hurt by a religious person—the person who hurt you was not Jesus. Jesus is not the abuser. Jesus is the healer. He’s the one who mends broken hearts. You can come to Him and know this for sure—He will care for you.

Always remember there is hope with God.

“You can come to Him and know this for sure—He will care for you.”

Psalm 147:3

“He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.”
