Wounded by Grief

Have you tasted grief? Maybe you are in a season of grief right now. Something has happened and grief has walked through your door.

In grief I have found myself crying out almost like a wounded animal. Psalm 73 says, “When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, I was a brute beast before you.” What an image! We are almost animalistic in our grief.

But we are not left there. The psalmist goes on to say: “Yet I am always with you. You hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel and afterward you will take me to glory.”

Do you feel like a wounded animal right now? God will help you. He is with you, my friend. Turn your heart to Him – even now.

“God will help you. He is with you, my friend. Turn your heart to Him – even now.”

Psalm 73:26

“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.”
