Will this ever change?

Do the daily routines of life ever wear you out and make you wonder…will this situation ever change? Is there hope for me?

In the midst of our messes, let’s remember that God has the power and desire to change our lives.

In fact, He is so powerful that ancient people showed reverence by never speaking His name aloud or even writing it out.

The oldest copies of the Bible used a code Y-H-W-H, in the place of God’s name to avoid the audacity of speaking or writing it. That’s where we get the name Yahweh in our Bibles—it’s an adaptation of those four letters.

Can you imagine? God has a name, just like my name. I’m Andrew—or the name your parents gave you.

God first shared this personal name with Moses before sending him to lead God’s people out of slavery.

The same God, Yahweh, who cared enough and possessed enough power to free His people back then wants to do the same for you—to free you—today. Will you let Him?

“In the midst of our messes, let’s remember that God has the power and desire to change our lives.”

Exodus 3:15

“God also said to Moses, ‘Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations.’”
