Wherever You Go
We all learned the story of the pilgrims in school. Brave people who traveled across the ocean to live in a new land.
But did you learn the whole story behind those brave pilgrims? That they were seeking a land where they could freely worship Jesus Christ?
They were so committed to their faith, that they risked their lives and left their homes behind for a completely unknown land. William Bradford, who served as Plymouth Colony Governor five times, was just such a man.
Bradford wrote, “Thus out of small beginnings greater things have been produced by His hand that made all things of nothing, and gives being to all things that are; and, as one small candle may light a thousand, so the light here kindled hath shone unto many...”
We can be inspired by the pilgrims, even today. If you watch the news or talk to friends, you know that this is an uncertain time for many.
People are worried. Times are difficult. But “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
The same Jesus who inspired the pilgrims to cross an ocean, lives in you. He promises never to leave you. We can put our faith completely in Him. We can know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Jesus is with us wherever we go. And that is very good news, don’t you think?
