The Lost Coin

I love the story in Luke 15 about a woman who has 10 coins, but she loses one. She lights a lamp, sweeps her floor, and searches carefully. When she finds it, she calls her friends to come and celebrate with her.

This is such a beautiful story. She has nine other coins but is not content to lose one, each coin so precious. There's an urgency for her to find the lost coin. It's obviously evening, but she lights the lamp to search. She will not wait until morning. And what joy when it is found.

Do you feel lost? Have you walked away from the one who loves you? Jesus?

He is not content. He will not wait. He is looking for you lighting lanterns and sweeping floors. Come to him today. Return. Ask Him to forgive you. He will.

Always remember there is hope with God.

“He will not wait. He is looking for you lighting lanterns and sweeping floors. Come to Him today. Return. Ask Him to forgive you. He will.”

Luke 15:10

“There is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”
