Shine Like the Stars

As we follow God and serve Him, we have opportunities to channel His grace to others.

There are many people in the world without hope because they are without God. It’s our privilege to introduce them to the Savior, Jesus Christ, and invite them into the abundant life He offers.

There is a verse in the Bible, in Daniel chapter 12, that I don’t really understand in full, but I love it. It says, “Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.”

I want that, even though I don’t know how my life and activities on earth can cause me to shine like the stars forever. It’s poetic language and it certainly draws a beautiful picture.

That Bible verse gives a sense of how highly God values our participation in His work in people’s hearts and lives.

Let’s be there for those who have no hope. Remember that God is already at work in them. We just need to join Him.

Daniel 12:3

“Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.”
