Power

I was reading the book of Ephesians in the Bible. And in chapter three, the apostle Paul wrote these words: "I pray that God may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that you may have power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is this love of Christ."

And I'm thinking, why does Paul say we need power to understand God's love? I suppose it's because when we face hard realities in our lives, such as a broken marriage, or a health crisis, we may doubt the love and faithfulness of God.

That is when we need power from God's Spirit to hold on to the truth of the deep love of Christ.

My friends, don't be afraid to lean into Him; He will strengthen you with His love.

“My friends, don't be afraid to lean into Him; He will strengthen you with His love.”

Romans 8:39

“No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
