Dad's Example

My father died of cancer not long ago. Even in his final days, he was at peace because he knew with certainty that his future was with Jesus in heaven.

In spite of being very weak, Dad shared the good news of Jesus Christ with all the staff who took care of him in the hospital. Word spread on the floor where he was, and people would come by to talk to him. Dad would pray for them and encourage them to seek God.

What a wonderful example Dad was for me and for all of those who knew him. He was a reminder that what happens to you is not as important as how you respond to it. We will all experience difficulties, and we have a choice in how we respond.

Second Corinthians 12:9 says: "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness."

Respond from a position of confidence and trust in God, and He will give you His peace and strength.
