Peace Instead of Fear

What is your greatest fear? 2 Timothy 1:7 says that God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline. We know He has given us peace, but sometimes we feel far from peaceful. Sometimes, we have to fight to hold onto the truth of what God has done for us. Prayer is a great place to fight battles of the mind and heart.

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Even if you still feel afraid today, we can declare the truth in faith together. We believe that the truth of God’s peace is more powerful than the fear stirred up by the lies of the enemy. God’s peace will come to reign in our hearts, and fear will not overtake us.

Always remember, there is hope with God.

John 14:27

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
