Never Give up Hope

Imagine standing in a garden – not just any garden, the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. The Lord isn’t there for a leisurely walk with the first couple in the cool of the evening. The three stand by the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

The Lord speaks far into the future about the coming Serpent-Crusher [Genesis 3:15]. Then the Lord builds an altar, sacrifices a large animal, and burns the sacrifice.

Standing not far from the forbidden Tree, the Lord knows He will one day come back to make the ultimate sacrifice on another tree. After all, He is the Serpent-Crusher.

The Lord now walks over and embraces Adam and then Eve. Then He disappears from sight.

People often tell themselves that the Lord cursed them, but that’s not true.

That’s why—no matter what happens, and no matter how long we must wait—we must never give up hope.

“No matter what happens, and no matter how long we must wait—we must never give up hope.”

Galatians 3:13

“But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.’ ”
