Not My Strength, but Christ in Me

When you were a kid, did you ever imagine yourself as a superhero? I think we all wish for the power to do amazing things. Just imagine the security you’d feel if you knew that nothing could ever hurt you. Of course, we will never have the power to protect ourselves and our loved ones the way superheroes do.

But we can have a different kind of strength that comes from following Jesus.

Ephesians 6:10 says…be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

How does that work?

God gives us spiritual armor to protect us from the enemy of our souls. Our faith—it’s like a shield. Our salvation—it’s like a helmet. And the Word of God itself—it is a spiritual sword.

I don’t know about you, but there’s more going on in my life than I can handle in my own strength. That’s for sure.

I’m asking God to make me strong in the Lord—in His mighty power! Won’t you join me? Ask God to be your strength.
