Made Clean

There is a beautiful interaction between Jesus and a man with leprosy in the book of Matthew, chapter 8. Leprosy is a terrible skin disease, contagious, and in ancient days with limited sanitation, a person with leprosy was a complete outcast, considered unclean. Untouchable!

But this man with leprosy comes up to Jesus, kneels before Him and says, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reaches out His hand and touches the man and says, “I am willing. Be clean!” And the man was healed.

Jesus, the perfect One, reaching out to touch the unclean. Do you feel unclean?

Maybe there’s something in your life that you’ve done. Possibly something that has been done to you. And you can’t imagine that the perfect God would want to have anything to do with you.

I want you to believe in the core of your soul – He wants to have everything to do with you. Reach out to Him today.
