Love in Human Form

Who is Jesus? Here’s one way to think about Him…God took all His love for us and put it into a person. That’s Jesus—God’s love in human form.

But His love is not like ours. It doesn’t change and fade. It doesn’t abandon us when things get messy. And it’s a love that’s so much bigger and stronger than ours—so big that He was willing to sacrifice Himself for us in order to give us eternal life.

1 John 4 says…

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.

When we give our lives to Him, God enables us to give and receive love beyond our normal human capacity.
