How to Have Eternal Life

 I have met so many people who are trying in so many ways to obtain eternal life. Some folks get panicky as they grow older, wanting to know for sure that they will go to heaven.

But actually, eternal life is not only heaven. You can have eternal life right now, here on earth.

There is a verse in John chapter 17 which kind of jumped out at me the other day. This is what Jesus said about eternal life: “This is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.”

A little earlier, in John chapter 14, Jesus had said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. [No one comes to the Father except through me.]” 

Read the book of John in the Bible. Get to know Jesus. Put your faith in Him and receive Him as your Savior. Then you will have eternal life.
