“You’re Gonna Have to Serve Somebody”

The famous Bob Dylan song, “serve somebody”, reminds us of this essential truth—that no matter who you are, rich or poor, weak or powerful…“You’re gonna have to serve somebody.”

Who do you serve? God? Yourself?

Who we serve has consequences. Most masters take more than they give.

There’s only One who will give back to us exponentially more than we could ask, think, or imagine. His name is Jesus.

Jesus said this about Himself in Luke 12, The servants who are ready and waiting for his return will be rewarded. I tell you the truth, he himself will seat them, put on an apron, and serve them as they sit and eat!

Wow! God loves you so much that He’s willing to humble Himself and SERVE YOU!

Whether you like it or not, you will serve somebody. Are you ready and willing to serve Jesus—the One who longs to care for you?
