God Knew the Cross Was His Destiny

Did you know that Jesus foretold His own death? Often we think of Jesus dying on the cross as a tragedy, and we may even think it was cruel that God would let that happen.

But no…Jesus knew this was His destiny, and He walked into it intentionally and willingly.

Jesus said this about Himself, drawing from ancient prophecy:

“The Son of Man must suffer many terrible things,” he said. “He will be rejected by the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He will be killed, but on the third day he will be raised from the dead.”

And why would Jesus do this?

Love.

Out of love for you and for all people. His blood is the sacrifice that brings us back into right relationship with God.

He became human because He wants to be with you. Will you receive Him?
