God Can Handle Your Emotions

I'm an emotional person—passionate and full of vision one day, tired and cynical the next, irritated and frustrated the next! It's a roller coaster. But God isn't surprised by me or by you.

He made you, and you don't have to hide from God. He knows all your emotions, all that you're feeling and thinking and imagining—and He loves you. And He says, Come to me.

You know the Psalms are songs full of writers pouring out their emotions to God—every single emotion. Allow Him to center you and listen to the words of Psalm 86…

Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I call to you all day long. Bring joy to your servant, for to you I lift up my soul.

Allow Him to settle you when your emotions begin to take control. Always remember there is hope with God.

“He knows all your emotions, all that you're feeling and thinking and imagining—and He loves you.”

Psalm 86:3-4

Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am calling on you constantly. Give me happiness, O Lord, for I give myself to you.
