Fighting Goliath

One of the best-known stories in the Bible is that of David and Goliath.

David was the youngest of eight sons and had been sent by their father to deliver supplies to his brothers who were fighting in a battle. Goliath was the champion of the Philistine army.

Eventually, David found himself having to fight the giant to protect the Israelites. David was at a distinct disadvantage being smaller and physically less powerful than Goliath, the seven foot tall bully.

But despite all that, David took down Goliath. He put his trust in God and stood strong on his faith, and God gave him the victory.

Maybe there’s a Goliath in your life. Will you commit the situation to God and trust Him to see you through it? Or will you run away in fear?

God is more powerful and more capable than even the strongest enemy, so stand firm and fight!

“God is more powerful and more capable than even the strongest enemy, so stand firm and fight!”

1 Corinthians 15:57

“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
