God Provides

Do you see God as your provider? The very first time that name for God is used is in Genesis 22 when God provided miraculously for His friend Abraham.

In that moment, Abraham named the place YAHWEH- Jireh, the Lord will provide.

All through the Bible, there are stories of God seeing the needs of His people and providing. Whether with manna in the desert or a child for a barren, broken woman. Providing is in God’s character. It’s who He is!

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6 to trust God’s promise to provide. “Don’t worry saying, ‘What should we eat, what should we drink, what should we wear?’ Your heavenly Father knows that you need them. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
