Dealing With Confusion

What happens when you feel confused about God? Do you feel ashamed and question whether you’re having enough faith? Do you run from God?

You don’t have to. You can remember the things you do believe about God.

When Jesus told His disciples, “I am the bread of life,” some of them had a really hard time understanding what He meant. Many left and stopped following Jesus. But Peter did something else.

The Bible says in John 6 that…

Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”

Even though Peter may not have completely understood what Jesus was saying, he held firm to what he did know—that Jesus was the Holy One of God.

Don’t be afraid when you have questions for God. Remember what you do believe, and ask Him to help you understand what you don’t. Seek God, and you will find Him.

“Don’t be afraid when you have questions for God. Remember what you do believe, and ask Him to help you understand what you don’t.”

John 6:68

Simon Peter replied, ‘Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.’
