Choose Success

As my kids have graduated from various stages of their education, I have always wished them success.

That may not sound like a very spiritual aspiration. But think about it. There are really only three choices: success, mediocrity, or failure. If I have to pick from those three, I’ll take success every time. But God’s version, not society’s.

In our culture, success is usually equated with achievement and accomplishment. But true success has to do with pleasing God and being a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:10 teaches us: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

If we seek God’s will, we will find success and true fulfillment in accomplishing what God wants. The glory will be His, not ours.

Ephesians 2:10

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
