Building a Home

I remember as a young mother looking at my babies and  thinking, ”Who thought it would be a good idea to give us these two tiny people and expect us to guide, protect, provide for them? To build a home for them?” It felt like an overwhelming task.

Being a parent and building a home has been the most joyful, heartbreaking, difficult, happy, painful, interesting, exhilarating journey.

There isn’t a parenting manual in the Bible, but there is a verse that has carried me, Proverbs 24:3 “By wisdom a house is built and through understanding it is established.”

How do I build a home? By wisdom found only in knowing God. By knowledge, found only in His truth. By understanding, found only in walking daily with Him
