Who is your Lord?

There's a beautiful name for God used in the Old Testament—Adonai.

It means Lord. The full meaning is Lord of all. It's a Hebrew word that refers to God's absolute authority. He's not just a Lord, He is the Lord.

There are people in this world who have heard about Him, and they call Him God. And there are people in this world who know Him, not just about Him, and they call Him Lord.

Is He your Adonai, not just a god, but your Lord? When you get to know Him and experience Him—when you have a relationship with Him—the only appropriate response is to call Him Lord.

Do you know Him? You can today. You can move from knowing about God, to knowing Him for yourself.

Always remember, there is hope with God.

“When you get to know Him and experience Him—when you have a relationship with Him—the only appropriate response is to call Him Lord.”

Psalm 86:15

 But you, O Lord,
are a God of compassion and mercy,
slow to get angry
and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.”
