Can I worship by myself?

There are so many different ways to worship God. Some sing, some pray, some honor Him through generosity or service.

These are all beautiful and valid ways to worship God. And you can do these by yourself…but there is something so special about worshiping God together.

Did you know that the book of Psalms in the Bible is like an ancient songbook? Historians tell us that the Psalms were sung by God’s people together—the Israelites—thousands of years ago.

Psalm 149:1 says,

Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful.

When you praise God in a gathering of believers, you experience the powerful benefit of being both connected with God spiritually and also connected with people in your shared love for God.

He wants us to connect this way with His other beloved children. Let your affection for God connect you with God’s people.

“Let your affection for God connect you with God’s people.”

Psalm 149:1

“Praise the Lord!

Sing to the Lord a new song.
Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful.”
