Who do you thank?

As Thanksgiving approaches in the United States, there is a renewed focus on gratitude. Families and friends plan gatherings to celebrate the abundance of their life, schoolchildren write about what they’re thankful for.

Think about this with me…what are you thankful for? Maybe you’re thankful for your friends, your health, your family. Maybe something unexpectedly good happened recently. Maybe you’re just grateful to be alive!

Who do you thank for the good things in your life?

I believe they came from God. He knows you. He cares for you. And it is right to think of every good thing in your life as a personal gift to you.

Philippians 4 tells us,

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all that he has done.

Will you take a moment right now to thank God for all the good things in your life today?

Remember, there is always hope with God.

“He knows you. He cares for you. And it is right to think of every good thing in your life as a personal gift to you.”

Philippians 4:6

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”
