What You Cannot Give
I’m sure that you’ve heard the saying, “It’s better to give than to receive.” Did you know that Jesus is the one who said that?
The Apostle Paul quotes Him in Acts 20:35 when he says,
“…. by this kind of hard work, we must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus himself, who said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
There is one thing, however, that we cannot give but only receive ourselves. And that is our salvation. The rescue that Jesus Christ gives from the grip of death. The repairing of our relationship with our loving Creator, God.
We are invited to receive this gift. We believe, we repent, and we receive forgiveness and eternal life. What a gift!
Then, your life becomes a living testimony that will lead others to Jesus Christ and the gift of eternal life.
Always remember there is hope with God.
