What kind of man was Jesus?

If you saw Jesus walking down the street would you recognize Him?

The Bible, in Isaiah 53, says:

There was nothing attractive about him, nothing to cause us to take a second look. He was looked down on and passed over, a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand.

Jesus is a different kind of king than our world has ever seen. He did not push others down to become powerful. From the beginning, He was already all-powerful, and when He came to earth He used His power to heal people, to set them free from oppression, and to forgive their sins. He even chose to give His life to pay the penalty for our sins.

This is still how He chooses to use His power today: for healing, freedom, and salvation!

Isaiah 53 in the Message Bible goes on to say:

it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through his bruises we get healed.

He died without a thought for his own welfare—He died for you and I to have life filled with freedom and joy. All of us have done things that hurt others, that go against God’s design for us—this is called sin.

Jesus offers you forgiveness for your sins AND His power to be fully alive. Three days after He died on a cross, He miraculously rose from the dead. He did this to show us He can raise us up too.

When you accept Jesus as King of your life, He promises eternal life in Heaven with Him forever AND His presence and power for living a free and holy life right now, today.

He is good. He is powerful. He loves you and wants you to know Him. Do you want to begin a relationship with him today? You can! Just pray with me now:

Jesus,

I receive You as my Lord and Savior. You came to earth to lead me back home to God. I accept Your forgiveness for all the ways I have hurt you and others. Help me to live like You—a life overflowing with love, peace, and joy. I want to follow You always!

Did you pray that prayer? I would love to celebrate with you! Will you let me know at hopewithgod.com/jesus?
