What if I sin by accident?

Do you ever worry that you might’ve sinned without knowing it?

During our lifetimes, we will use unintentionally hurtful words, think cruel, unloving thoughts, and neglect kindnesses that ought to be prioritized.

We may never realize we are doing any of these things. But God does.

Thankfully, He is not a harsh God, but a God full of mercy and full of grace. We can ask Him to show us all the areas where we need to ask His forgiveness—to turn our actions and thoughts toward the ways of Jesus.

In Psalm 139, David prays,

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the paths of everlasting life.

Will you pray this bold prayer today? You can even ask God to forgive you for your accidental sins. Trust in His mercy and grace.
