The Light of God

G. K. Chesterton said, “God is like the sun; you cannot look at it, but without it you cannot look at anything else.”

The light of God illuminates everything around us. He is always there, and His presence is the light we need in life.

When I think of a light in the darkness, I am reminded of Daniel in the Bible. Daniel trusted God when he was in a very dark place – a den of lions. By relying on God, Daniel went from a dark, near-death experience to a position of great power in the country.

There was a time in my life when I felt as though I was in a dark hole. I had turned my back on God and shunned His light. But when I called out to Him, He saved me. Now I have the joy of daily walking in His light and peace.

If you’re in the darkness, turn to God. He’s waiting to hear from you.

“If you’re in the darkness, turn to God. He’s waiting to hear from you.”

1 John 1:5

“God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.”
