The Lies Underneath the Anxiety

Anxiety. It's a common word these days. Anxiety is, basically, fear.

And where does unfounded and crippling fear come from? It comes from lies. And who is the father of lies? The devil—the enemy of our souls.

And, what is the opposite of fear and anxiety? Peace.

Are you listening to lies? How is this impacting you? Call the lies what they are—call them out —realize what they are.

But then call on the God of peace and ask Him to fill your mind and your heart with His peace. Jesus's first words to His disciples after the resurrection were Peace be with you.

The work Jesus did on the cross—His power over death and the grave—has brought peace to all humanity and it is available to you.

“The work Jesus did on the cross—His power over death and the grave—has brought peace to all humanity and it is available to you.”

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?
