The Gospel Is Always for You

I think we can subconsciously break down the Christian life into two phases. We think, first you need to hear the Gospel and be saved. And then, part two: you don’t need the Gospel anymore.

Now YOU need to get to work to please God. But do you know that God is pleased with you because of Jesus Christ alone?

He loves you not because of anything you’ve done, or whether or not you’ve earned it, but simply because He’s God. If you’ve been too caught up in all the ways you fall short, and all the things you aren’t doing - can I encourage you to get back to the Good News Gospel today?

The great reformer Martin Luther once wrote, “So when the devil throws your sins in your face and declares that you deserve death and hell, tell him this: ‘I admit that I deserve death and hell, what of it? For I know One who suffered and made satisfaction on my behalf. His name is Jesus Christ, Son of God, and where He is there I shall be also!’”

Before you can share the Good News with anyone else, you need to be receiving it for yourself. The Gospel will fill you with everything you need to reach your world.

St Paul writes, “Once you were alienated from God… But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation" (Colossians 1:21-22).

Thank God for His Gospel today and spread his Good News to your world.

Colossians 1:21-22

“And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him,”
