The Struggle With Doubt

Do you ever struggle with doubting God? I for one am so glad that the truth of who God is does not change based on the strength or weakness of my belief.

I’ve had times in my life when I doubted, and I found comfort in one of God’s names, “El Elyon,” which means “The Most High God.”

That name is used first in Genesis when Melchizedek is described as both a king and priest of the Most High God—the creator-God of the Heavens and creator of the Earth.

And this just reminds me that there is no power in the world that surpasses God. Nothing that happens in my life will overwhelm Him. None of my confusion can erase His existence.

That is a relief.

If you struggle with doubt, bring all your thoughts before The Most High God. Despite your doubt, ask Him to help you. He wants to meet you right where you are.

If you struggle with doubt, bring all your thoughts before The Most High God.

Geneis 14:18-19

“And Melchizedek, the king of Salem and a priest of God Most High, brought Abram some bread and wine. Melchizedek blessed Abram with this blessing:

‘Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
    Creator of heaven and earth.”’
