Is it sinful to feel stressed?

Doesn’t it feel like the pace of life is getting faster and faster? Does the fear of missing out drive you to pack your life so full that it’s just bursting at the seams?

And on top of all that, the daily weight of challenging life circumstances and the suffering of this world can feel dizzying.

Have you ever wondered—is it a sin to feel stressed?

Mark 14 tells us that when Jesus was about to go to the cross… he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. Then He said, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death…”

Feeling stressed isn’t sinful because Jesus—the sinless one—He felt it, too. Stress is part of living in a broken and hurting world, but we don’t have to let it rule us.

Come to Jesus and find relief. Ask Him to carry all your heavy burdens, all your worries, all your grief.

“Come to Jesus and find relief. Ask Him to carry all your heavy burdens, all your worries, all your grief.”

Psalm 55:22

Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.”
