The Solid Rock

When I was a boy I came home from school one day to learn that my mother had been diagnosed with cancer and would be having surgery immediately. 

I felt as though life had just become desperately unstable, but my parents turned to God in the midst of their distress. 

They found strength and security in Him. He kept our family steady through that long ordeal of surgery, a period of uncertainty, and eventual recovery.

No one is exempt from struggles, heartaches, and difficulties. Maybe you have come to a place where you feel as though you are standing on sinking sand.

In the Bible we read that King David said, “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.” (2 Samuel 22:2) He can be your refuge also.
