Practice Love

Martin Luther King Jr. is remembered for his stand against racial inequality. In a sermon, King once said, “Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.”

So true! Love does change people. And who is the greatest source of love? Jesus, of course! He loved us before we even knew Him. As the Apostle John wrote: “We love Him because He first loved us.”

As followers of Jesus, we are to show that kind of love to people around us. We must practice love. Love people by telling them the good news that Jesus loves them and died to save them. Love people by never giving up on them. God never gave up on you!

In Romans 5, we read, “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

As we show lovingkindness to others, we can share with them the truth about God’s great love for them.
