Moment of Decision

My father-in-law, Luis Palau, used to say that we each have a “moment of decision that leads to a lifetime of adjustments.”

What is that moment of decision? It’s a time when you decided in your mind, your heart, your soul, to follow Jesus. The Bible calls it being born again. That is a moment of decision.

But then comes life. Day to day life. Mornings of frustration or regret; days of hard work and challenges; evenings of stress or even boredom.

Here come the adjustments, and how do we make them? We get to know God. We invite Him into our mornings, welcome Him into our hardest days, and lean into Him each evening. It’s a lifetime journey.

Don’t be discouraged – it’s so worth it. Persevere in your life with Jesus.

“We get to know God. We invite Him into our mornings, welcome Him into our hardest days, and lean into Him each evening. It’s a lifetime journey.”

1 Peter 1:23

“For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.”
