Knowledge

We each have a lot of knowledge stuffed into our heads. Much of it is trivial.

I know all the words to the songs I listened to when I was in high school. Why is that still in my brain? I don’t know. It certainly isn’t very useful!

Charles Spurgeon, the great preacher, once said, “The mightiest philosophy which can ever engage the attention of a child of God is the name, the nature, the person, the work, the doings, and the existence of the great God, who he calls Father.” I just love that!

Some of our knowledge may be a little more valuable than those old songs rattling around in my brain, but absolutely nothing can come close to being more precious than knowing God Himself.

Spend time getting to know almighty God. He loves you. Read His Word, the Bible.

Ephesians 1:17

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.”
