Jesus Came to Bring You Honor

There's a story in the book of John about a woman caught in the act of adultery. She's brought before Jesus and she is accused.

But He would not allow the humiliation of this woman to take place. He spoke to her accusers and one by one they walked away realizing that they were just as sinful.

This is a radical encounter in the ancient world where women were unjustly treated, yet Jesus's treatment of this woman lifted her up.

As a woman, the world will want to humiliate you, dishonor you, and take advantage of you, but the way of Jesus is different.

In fact, He, Jesus Himself, was dishonored through His death on the cross so that we could be honored.
