The Humility of the Incarnation

Another Christmas has come and gone. Maybe you’re still cleaning up the mess from your family celebrations. Or maybe you’re wishing things had gone a little differently.

The holidays can be very difficult for so many reasons, and maybe you’re still reeling from the emotional toll that it can take.

Pause for a minute and meditate on this thought. It's from Philippians 2:

[Christ], being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used for his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing, by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

God became human because He loves you. So, we can bring all our joy or sorrow, our tiredness and pain to Him today. He will receive you with open arms. He offers you comfort, right now.

Remember, there is always hope with God.

“God became human because He loves you.”

Philippians 2:6-7

“Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.”
