Does God hear your prayers?
Have you ever wondered: Does God hear my prayers? And if He does, can He actually respond? Will He answer?
Friend, you may feel tired and confused. Maybe you’ve been asking God for something for years and nothing has changed. Or maybe you’re afraid to share your needs with Him—maybe you’re worried He doesn’t care.
Not only does He hear you—but He cares about you as a Father cares for His own children.
In Matthew 7, Jesus was encouraging his disciples to pray and to ask their Heavenly Father for what they need. He said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Another time, Jesus told them in Mark 11:24—“...I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Years later, after Jesus had died, risen, and gone to Heaven, His disciple John wrote to continue to encourage us that God hears us—
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” 1 John 5:14-15
So don’t lose heart. Keep praying. Pray with confidence. And as you pray, don’t just tell God what YOU want, but also ask Him what HE wants. Ask Him to transform your heart. I assure you—He will do it.
