God Has Come to His People and Redeemed Humanity

Before the first Christmas, a man named Zechariah found himself in the presence of the angel Gabriel.

Incredibly, when the angel told him he was going to have a son in His old age, Zechariah spoke words of disbelief, only to be told he’d be unable to speak another word for nine months.

When he could speak again, eight days after his son’s birth, Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and was anything but at a loss for words. In a divinely inspired prophecy, the first words out of Zechariah’s mouth were…

Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come to his people and redeemed them.

The birth of Jesus was the beginning of God’s big rescue mission to redeem His people from sin and death.

This Christmas, you can speak words—not of disbelief—but of praise and truth. Will you share these words this Christmas season? Tell everyone…

God has come to redeem His people!

“This Christmas, you can speak words—not of disbelief—but of praise and truth.”

Luke 1:68

“Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited and redeemed his people.”
