First Responders

Living in a large city, I often hear sirens and I think of those first responders who are hurrying to help people in distress. I’m thankful for these individuals who daily risk themselves to save others.

As Christians, we are first responders for souls. Jude 1:23 puts it this way: “Save others by snatching them out of the fire; show mercy to those facing fear.”

As we come across those who are lost, grieving, lonely, or hurt it is our responsibility to share with them the good news of Jesus. What a privilege it is to do that!

This is a serious business we’re in as Christians. Jesus gave us a great commission when He told us to proclaim His Gospel. How you model your faith and what you say today could affect somebody else’s life for eternity.

Be encouraged. God is with you every step of the way.
