Expect the Unexpected

Have you ever wondered, “Where is God when I need Him?”

Even though I knew that God had promised never to leave me, sometimes it felt as though He was very far away.

If you’re going through a season of feeling distant from God, I want to encourage you today. Even though God may FEEL distant, trust the promises of the Bible that if you believe in Him, He will never abandon you.

John 1:9 says that Jesus came into the world as the true light that gives light to everyone. It says…

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.

Sometimes, when we feel distant from God, it’s just because we don’t recognize His presence and activity in our lives.

He does speak to us, and He offers us comfort. He does it through people, He does it through His word especially, and through prayer- speaking with God.

Speak to Him and expect God’s presence, and look for it today. Maybe you’ll find Him moving in ways you never expected.

“Even though God may FEEL distant, trust the promises of the Bible that if you believe in Him, He will never abandon you.”

John 1:9-10

The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him.”
