Don't Put God in a Box

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Don’t put God into a box.” What it means is this: don’t put limitations on God. Instead, let God be God, and don’t try to quantify or limit His capabilities.

In my own life, I get caught up in planning. And if anything other than my initial preferences occurs, I get frustrated.

What I have to remember – and what we all have to remember – is that God is all about bringing glory to Himself and to the Kingdom. And often, that means His mighty plan is going to be bigger than I can ever comprehend.

God is not limited to my likes and dislikes, my timeframe, or my personal goals. God does not fit into my box.

Remember that God loves you—but sometimes His plan may look different than yours.

The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5 to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding” – so do it! Trust God.

“God is not limited to my likes and dislikes, my timeframe, or my personal goals. God does not fit into my box.”

Proverbs 3:5

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.”
