A Humble King

What would you do if you had all the power in the universe? We could all come up with some wild answers to that question, but I bet none of us would say, I would choose to give up my power and die.

But you know what? That's exactly what Jesus chose to do. Philippians 2 says, "He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross."

Jesus didn't use His almighty power to get what He wanted or control people into obedience. Instead, He became human so that He could experience the world just like we have experienced it.

And He died to give us a beautiful invitation to know Him as a friend—to be filled with His Spirit and to be free from the sin, and the death, and the shame—so that we can live with Him now and forever. Forever in Heaven.

That's His offer today. Will you accept it?

Put your trust in Jesus, the humble King.

“He became human so that He could experience the world just like we have experienced it.”

Philippians 2:6-7

“Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.”
