A Different Kind of Father

What are your parents like?

Whether wonderfully kind or painfully harsh, you’ve probably experienced hurt from them. Your own childhood—it shapes the way you think about fatherhood.

Have you ever thought of God like He’s an angry father and yourself like a naughty child, afraid that you’re going to be punished?

There’s a Bible story about a son who left his father. And this is how God wants you to think about it. This son asked his father for his inheritance early, as if his father were dead, and then he wasted it on wild living.

When he had ruined his life, he was starving to death, and he went to beg for his father’s forgiveness. He thought, “Maybe if I’m lucky my father will let me work as a servant.”

But guess what… his father saw him coming and He ran to his son and embraced him.

This is the way God feels about you. Run into His open arms today!

“Run into His open arms today!”

Luke 15:24

“For this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.”
